DOT Drug Tests
If your employer or occupation requires DOT drug testing, it’s important to note that only doctors who have been certified by the Department of Transportation can provide this testing. Because of this requirement, the clinics that provide these testing are limited. DuPage Immediate Care offers same-day DOT drug testing and understands the complex requirements, even as they apply to different roles and positions (the requirements would be different for a commercial driver than they would be for an air traffic controller, for example).
For expert, same-day DOT physicals stop by DuPage Immediate Care today.
The test consists of more than 10 test panels, including:
- Amphetamines,
- Barbiturates,
- Benzodiazepines,
- Opiates,
- Methadone,
- Phencyclidine and THC.
In addition, at Dupage Immediate care we offer the 7-50 test panels for the Drug Abuse test.
The Importance of the DOT Test
Drivers, train workers and flight workers require more comprehensive screening because the jobs that they do put the safety of the general public at risk. We're happy to conduct such tests in our urgent care environment, where wait times are short and walk-ins are always welcome. Contact us today to learn more about our DOT testing services.
Who Must Receive a DOT Test?
Generally, there are three categories of professionals that must take - and pass - a DOT test to work in their respective fields: commercial drivers, train workers (i.e., engineers, dispatchers, signalers) and flight crew workers (including air traffic controllers). It's also important to note that certain professions may require additional screening in addition to the DOT test.
