If you or a family member has sustained a cut, scrape or laceration that is not considered life-threatening, but still requires medical attention, we can help.
At DuPage Immediate Care Center, we clean and stitch a variety of wounds, including:
- Shallow cuts on the face
- Abrasions and cuts that contain embedded dirt
- Straight cuts with sides that can be pushed together easily
- Cuts from rusty or dirty objects
- Relatively shallow animal or human bites
At the DuPage Immediate Care Center, we provide our well-established urgent care physicians and medical staff with the most innovative medical equipment available.
When you arrive at our immediate care center, we will assess your wound and determine its severity. Based on this determination, we will apply a local anesthetic, sutures or stitches along with the appropriate dressing.
If a dirty or rusty object caused the wound, a tetanus immunization may be necessary.
